WATERCOLOR DREAMS

POEM

I visualize in pastel shades.

Watercolors that make the sky and flowers at my feet washed out.

They sway in a gentle breeze but then the brown seeds scatter on the smoke of a blown out candle.

I can’t catch them.

The washed out colors are moving now like a lake and the brown seeds are crushed and dissolve into sand.

My canvas is the lake and my feet are in the sand.

I’m at a quiet beach.

Calm and tranquil is what this piece is called.

There is a soft breeze that moves the water and a feeling of peace laps up and onto the sandy beach.

Washed out clouds stain the perfect blue sky completing this piece.

Temptation sways me to touch this artistic creation.

I kneel down and I touch the water.

It turns to a milky blue and white with a bit of green.

Washed out colors swirl around me and the green, now at my feet becomes a meadow of grass.

The milky blue brushes the sky and oh what is this piece called?

The summer breeze kisses my cheek.

It’s a kiss that I have felt before.

My eyes close to savor the feeling.

When I open my eyes, I smile.

I feel your presence.

The white clouds come down to me and soon they are your beautiful white wings.

Your dark eyes dance with me in the water colored green meadow.

The answer to my question.

The piece is called “You and Me.”
